October 19th, 2006 by markdownmom
Through Saturday, as reported in the Madison State Journal, the University of Wisconsin at Madision will be selling 15,000 used books at its Memorial Library. This is a semi-annual sale of books donated from faculty, staff, students and friends and is an amazing, eclectic collection.
Last year, Japanese comic books were a hot item!. Thursday and Friday prices include $2 for hardcover, $1 for softcover and on Saturday you can buy a bag of books for $2 and in the last hour, all books are Free!
Sales such as this one by universities, colleges, and local libraries are a great opportunity for bargain hunters to search for additions to their collections or books for a number of purposes. You never know what "find" you may uncover., and proceeds go to support special programs at the university.
