Tip of the Week #35 Dual Purpose Kitchen Products
November 1st, 2007 by markdownmom
You have a wonderful set of colored roasting pans and have enjoyed baking with them and sharing those delicious meals with friends and family. You would like to be able to go from the oven to the table with it, but all those cooking stains from previous meals make it less than presentable. Since most of the stains on pots are cooked on meat juices and, therefore, potein based, try using meat tenderizer to scrub away those stains. Just make a paste of the meat tenderizer with water and rub it on and let set for a short time. Then scrub it off, repeat if necessary. Soon you will be able to return the pot to its’ rightful place of honor on your dinner table Additionally, meat tenderizer can be used in the laundry to clean stains from blood and other proteins; however, be sure to test fabric in an inconspicuous area.
