  • Tip of the Week #15 Keeping the Cupboards Not Bare, But Clean

    November 30th, 2006 by markdownmom

Do your turnstyle cupboards end up with spills that are gooey messes and make all those bottles stick to the shelf?  Then you have to unload everything and clean the adhesive-backed shelf paper and pray that somehow whatever it was didn’t get under the paper?  And if it did, then comes the wonderful task of ripping up the shelf paper which like certain tapes inevitably tears in uneven pointed strips, and we all know what that means.  Hours later, the task is finally completed,or you have to fork out  more money and buy new shelf lining.  Well, MDM has an easier solution:

    Buy Remnant Vinyl Flooring

    • Cut to fit, this material makes spills easy to clean up.  All you have to do is unload shelf and clean up oftentimes requires only  water and dishwashing soap.  And if the spill is unusually nasty, this material can take harsher scrubbing and stain removers like Soft Scrub®
    • Cushions glasses and other dinnerware.  The thickness of the vinyl provides a built-in cushion.
    •  Can be matched to your decor.  Look for a large enough roll either in a matching or coordinating color.
    •  Inexpensive.  Far less than their original large rolls of flooring, you can usually buy a remnant at the same price or lower than paper or adhesive-backed shelving.
    • Reuseable.  Once fitted, these liners are indestructible and can be used again and again.  And if you repaint and want to change the liners, used ones can serve as templates for the new ones.
    • Use cutters for vinyl siding or metal, or a utility knife since material is too thick for scissors.
