Sweet Deal: Grow Your Own Sugar-Free Sweetner
April 20th, 2006 by markdownmom
Burpee carries Stevia or popular name "Honeyleaf" which is an annual sugar-free sweetner the leaves of which are 30 times sweeter than sugar. A single plant will yield a 1/2lb. of dried leaves. Another plus, this item can be grown in a window sill.
MDM loves the idea of producing your own herbs, not only are cheaper, handy, but they last longer since you only pick what you need at the time. This is a great seed to plant since it can be used to sweeten drinks and as a cooking sweetner.
