    Ebay.com
MDM likes this site to find the items you can’t find anywhere else.  For instance, antique textiles like barkcloth from the 30’s and 40’s and chenille from the 40’s and 50’s.  Additionally, upholstery items can be hit and miss since yardage is important if you are doing a specific project, and sometimes you can get burned because the display photo is not totally accurate or you cannot get a close-up of it.  Cosmetics and hair products usually run half price off or more, great source for Mary Kay Products, Samy (for items not the standard fare like shampoo, etc. that can be bought at Walgreen’s and shopping networks), MAC, allows for sampling different eyeshadows in smaller volume than you would buy at retail.  Also kitchen appliances such as cuisinart frappucino which is no longer being made, and products that you cannot pick-up locally.

On line auction that makes you feel good since money goes to employ others at Goodwill sites around the country.  Very good place to check for antiques especially when description is general enough that it does not alert others on the hunt.  MDM also likes the used kitchen appliances such as professional mixers, retro blenders, and antique kitchen gadgets.  Best buys are had in the furniture department since many pieces cannot be shipped, but are pick-up only this gives the locals the advantage and many items have been won at a fraction of their value.  Still on some antiques you have to be careful, MDM won a bid on a book containing antique commemorative postcards, only to receive one with xerox reproductions.

MDM likes the auction for jewelry such as the fabulous faux line by Charles Winston and for apparel; although you must be careful not to overbid from their clearance price.
