Hot New Green Designer Bag May Take Many Greenback$$$ to Get!
June 21st, 2007 by markdownmom
The hot new bag this summer by UK designer Anya Hindmarch is ecofriendly especially for the West Coast where plastic bags are being eliminated. Catchy "I’m Not A Plastic Bag" logo on the tote has become a fashion statement by celebs like Keira Knightly. Usually Hindmarch bags are $$$, but this canvas tote is selling for only $15–if you can get one. The US release has been predominantly at Hindmarch stores, Ron Herman, Fred Segal Flair, east and west coast outlets, and Holt Renfrew in Canada. Because of the limited production at present, buyers are confined to 1 or 2 purchases, and in the UK, you have to put your name into a lottery for the opportunity to buy one. It appears that pre-orders are not only necessary for this bag, but for other bags by Anya. There also is some worry that knock-offs are starting to appear around the country. So, if you don’t have any of these sources near you, what can you do? Well, if you must have this bag and can’t live without it, you can go on Ebay ™, but fair warning, expect to pay more than the $15 price tag! To find the US, Canadian outlets check online at Anya Hindmarch for locations. However, this doesn’t mean that they will be in stock since many stores sold out on the first day. According to her site, these bags are a limited edition and there are currently no plans to manufacture more.
