In store and website clearance sales range from 50-75%. MDM loves the 75% sales. Macy’s is having a blowout sale on clearance items, taking an additional 25% off clearance for markdowns up to 70%. This creates great professional looking attire with a black camisole and black pin tucked slacks. Do you know when The Limited or Ann Taylor Loft has their next markdowns? Is there a site that would direct me to all this information for popular retail stores? I know they are on a schedule and they markdown on certain dates. Any help, tips would be much appreciated. Thanks. Shilinar
Dear Shilina, thanks for bringing this to our attention. In fact, Ann Taylor is having some super markdowns right now, up to 85% off. The Limited parent organization is Limited Brands, http://www.limitedbrands.com/brands/ltd/index.jsp ,and does not have an online retail store that we know of, but items are sold through a number of sites . A rule of thumb in looking for markdowns in fashion is seasonal changes. Right now, Fall merchandise is making way for Spring, and with any leftover summer merchandise will have the deepest markdowns. Further, because of warm weather, the Winter merchandise is being marked down now between the first and second markdown rather than late February and early March. Hope this helps. MarkdownMom.
