  • Beat the Winter Skin Flakes!-Tip 1: Moisturize your lips, Boutique Balm for the Diva

    January 20th, 2008 by markdownmom

Snow isn’t the only type of flakes that come out during winter.  That uncomfortable and unattractive dry, flaky skin and chapped lips appear every winter due to the cold, dry air (low relative humidity).  MDM’s Tip 1 for Beating the Winter Skin Flakes-Moisturize your lips!     Try looking for a product with a petroleum, beeswax, shea butter, vegetable or animal-oil base which will prevent the moisture (water) from your lips from evaporating.  Another plus is the addition of a sunscreen component (SPF).  The sun is often reflected off the snow and ice and onto your face.  Several lip balms now come tinted so you take care of two purposes for the price of one and avoid contaminating your regular lip balm with lipstick color.  MDM searched the Internet and found a good variety of Boutique Balms for the Diva:
